Character recognition OCR-based verification inspection system

It is an inspection that verifies, distinguishes, and determines the characters printed on parts and products.

Set a reading window on the captured image and extract characters from it. Based on the extracted characters and the set parameters, readability and quality inspections will be conducted. By registering characters in a dictionary, it is possible to inspect characters other than those recognized by OCR. Each character is extracted from the captured image and compared against a pre-registered dictionary for judgment. Additionally, multiple inspections are combined to comprehensively assess print quality, including size inspection, examination of unique features of the characters, and mutual comparison with similar characters.

AI Appearance Inspection System

It is a system that conducts inspections using a machine's eye, employing cameras and software, instead of visual inspections performed by human eyes.

It is a system that conducts inspections using machine vision with cameras and software, replacing the visual inspections traditionally done by human eyes. In conventional visual inspections, the quality can vary significantly due to the "experience" and "physical condition" of the inspector, leading to human risks such as inconsistent quality and overlooking defective products. As a solution, an appearance inspection system utilizing machines like cameras and image processing was developed. By automating appearance inspections with image processing technology, it has achieved stable inspection accuracy and improved cost performance. Furthermore, in recent years, the advancement of AI technology (deep learning) has been remarkable, and image recognition has evolved into a highly sophisticated technology that is even used in security. When inspectors encounter unknown defects during visual inspections, they can detect them by sensing some form of "discomfort." AI can quantify and express that "discomfort," allowing it to detect unknown defects without missing them. In other words, it can complement human judgment.
